Evelinn Trouble — Polycule

Written during a songwriting-camp in the Montreux Festival Artist Residency, "Polycule" came about in a one-day-session, combining the talents of several musicians and producers that shaped the song-sketch that Evelinn Trouble brought to the table. "On the first night of the songwriting-camp I couldn't fall sleep so I read all night: the novel "Emperor of Gladness" by Ocean Vuong. It conjured up strong images of people caring for one another under dire circumstances and sparked the song-idea: a story of deep feelings of love and care and a refusal to limit that love to a monogamous pairing." says Trouble. Fittingly, the creation of this gem was a team-effort: Evelinn Trouble: writing & performance, Camilla Sparksss: co-writing, Élie Zoé: tambourine, backing vocals, Chiara Dubey: violin & backing vocals, Fireonblack: production & mix.
