Andrina Bollinger — Oh Anne

With “Oh Anne,” Swiss avant-pop auteur Andrina Bollinger releases the final glimpse into her forthcoming album “Island of Way Back”: a quiet, emotionally devastating ballad that feels as if it were discovered rather than written.

Recorded in one uninterrupted take at Mike Lindsay's studio in Margate, the track remains exactly as it emerged: unpolished, untouched, save for a breath of added reverb. Bollinger describes it as the most personal song she has written to date. Short and intentionally a touch unfinished, its phrases hang open by design — a reminder that life, too, remains ongoing, asking to be lived with generous abandon.

Reflecting on its creation, Bollinger says: "The song marks a turning point for me. It's about choosing life, supported and empowered by the presence of my grandmother, even though she is no longer here. It also feels like something is being passed on, that I'm acknowledging what I've received and offering it onward to the younger generation, keeping that sense of resilience and care alive. I felt I could fully sink into that feeling during the recording, and I hope listeners can sense that when they hear it."

“Island of Way Back” (release 06.03.2026 via Mouthwatering Records) is now available for pre-order.
