Ray Wilko — Subzero

«Subzero» is the debut album by Swiss songwriter and singer Ray Wilko and was originally released in 1996. Being a multi-instrumentalist, Wilko performs every instrument on most of the 10 songs that were recorded and co-produced by Wilkos good friend and sound engineer Oli Bösch. The first song on the album, "What's the Deal, Kim?", is an homage to Kim Deal, former bassist of the Pixies who can be defined as one of Wilkos stylistic influences – among others like Pavement, Lenny Kravitz, the emerging Beck Hansen, early David Bowie or even The Smiths
