Ilajan

Ilajan is a two-sister alternative pop duo, threaded with elements of folk and ambient music.
Their poetic songwriting unfolds through delicate guitars, textured synthesizers and ethereal vocal harmonies, opening onto carefully crafted worlds.
Following their EP Villes de Papier, produced in collaboration with Meimuna (Cyrielle Formaz), their debut album Les Ronces was released on Humus Records last winter. Written and recorded in the intimacy of familiar spaces and home studios in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Porrentruy, Geneva, Cima Citta and Berlin, it features the cinematic analog synthesizers and sound design of Samuel Jaccard, the sensitive production of Gaspar Narby and a treasured collaboration on Daphné with acclaimed artist Élie Zoé.
Since its release, Les Ronces have kept growing on stage.
Through almost forty concerts in duo or trio Ilajan has brought its songs from iconic swiss venues and festivals through chapels and outdoor settings, including Les Aubes Musicales, Festival La Bâtie, and Alhambra for Festival Antigel in Geneva.
