Black Sea Dahu

Black Sea Dahu are Janine Cathrein and a tight-knit gang of musical talents. Think: modern-day Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. Instead of dropping copious amounts of LSD and driving around in a VW mini-bus, they congregate in various configurations and trip out on sound: in the studio or on stages scattered about the world. Their debut album White Creatures, co-produced by Gavin Gardiner (The Wooden Sky, CAN), received critical acclaim and brought about comparisons to Ben Howard and Big Thief. On the heels of their debut release, the gang has been selling out venues and touring relentlessly. To date, they've shared bills with the likes of José González, Lucy Rose, and Sophie Hunger. They’ve also been invited to play at festivals such as the Reeperbahn (2018), The Great Escape (2019), m4music (2019) MaMA (2019) and Eurosonic (2020).  Recently, they've reissued the Kingdom North (Rerelease) EP, a collection of songs recorded when they were still called JOSH.

The newly released singles 'Glue' , followed by a live version 'Glue - Live at Royal', and ‘Transience’ are the introduction for the upcoming album 'I Am My Mother'.
